Well, I was right when I suspected that that black-eyed pea & ham salad was going to be the last post before the baby arrived! We welcomed our baby boy into the world last Wednesday morning, April 21st at 3:54 am. He weighed 6 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. He is just wonderful. Eventually the Oishii kitchen will be back in action, but in the meantime we’re humbly enjoying the generosity of the people around us as we spend these exhausting and precious first weeks getting to know our little guy!
